Panko is a riot of colour : the sheltered (no smoking) garden has clumps of orange, mauve and scarlet flowers; real and fake flowers invade the living room and fight with the cheerful pictures that cover the variegated walls; upstairs are rainbow sheets, …painted furniture and objets galore, fine big towels and myriad toiletries; big outdoor breakfasts ar served on colourful china. Madame 's energy drives it all- she 'll organise your stay to a tee, galleries and museums a speciality. It is quiet, exclusive, six minutes from several small beaches- superb!
A joy to return here from the glare of the sun on the sea. Densely packed with scented and exotic plants, the quit, sheltered ( no-smoking) garden is an oasis of colour, decorated with small statues, pottery and little animals. It' s green and flowering all the year round; countless pots and clumps of orange, mauve and scarlet glow against the dark green of the burgeoning foliage which enhances the privacy of the lawn with its sitting / sunbathing areas. It's been the love of Clarisse life, and hardly a day goes by when she hasn't planted something new.
Villa Panko , a most attractive, pale pink villa accented by light- green shutters and tiled roof, is very special.
Located in a secluded but extremely convenient area of Cap d'Antibes, this intimate B&B is truly a delight.
When you step into the living room, there is a homelike, informal ambiance, and then you meet your hostess, Clarisse, whose radiant smile and genuine warmth make guests feel instantly at ease. Although there are just two guestrooms, Villa Panko is run with great professionalism. Bedrooms and bathrooms are decorated with loving care, down to the tiniest detail such as the designs on the towels matching the stenciling on the wall.
The bedrooms have lovely linens and appealing fabrics. Bouquets of fresh flowers, teapots with all the tea makings, and an information packet are all thoughtful touches.
Breakfast is a beautiful presentation of delicious pastries and breads, fresh fruit, orange juice, cheeses, yogurt, and jam. In warm weather, breakfast is served out in the stunning, English- style garden with its quiet nooks, pretty trees, and gorgeous flowerbeds.
